They showed up

November 16, 2023

As Daniel Muir drove up to Levy Mwanawasa University one late afternoon, it seemed like maybe no students had turned up for their weekly time together of discipleship.

Being Zambia, he waited as he always does and prayed for the students, hoping some would turn up.

Incredibly, more students than normal came that week. Some had brought friends along and others who hadn’t been in awhile also showed up. It was an extra special time, with amazing questions and discussions. Two students stayed behind afterwards and shared with Daniel that for the first time in their lives they had that night come to fully understand the gospel and that salvation was a free gift not something that could be earned!

The sun was in the last of its setting, a beautiful red glow in the sky (mixed with dust and pollution) as Daniel drove home rejoicing and praising God for such a special time.

An incredible highlight to our term!

Pray for the Muirs, who have served in Africa for a decade. They have returned to New Zealand on home assignment, and are praying through what the next phase of their lives will look like. Daniel has a chronic physical condition that is difficult to manage in the places where they have been living overseas.
